Spellman Care holds a specifical event to celebrate former members of the British Armed Forces and being friendly to veterans.
A heart-warming celebration occurred at Spellman Care’s Craven Nursing 国产乱伦 recently, where former Armed Forces veterans gathered for a celebratory event. The day marked a significant milestone for Spellman Care, who have just achieved ‘veteran friendly’ status under the Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF).
The aim of the VFF is to better support the practical, emotional and social needs of the Armed Forces community in care homes across England, by providing training and resources to assess and improve the care they offer. It will help tackle loneliness and has the scope to deliver improved health and wellbeing outcomes for the 25,000 veterans living in care homes in England.
The event featured a 1940's themed afternoon tea with live music, complete with classic games and wartime memorabilia. A special presentation, prepared by a resident at Steeton Court Nursing 国产乱伦, added a personal touch to the celebration. Guests enjoyed the nostalgic and a beautiful classic car which was on display. Among the attendees was Gordon Bell, the new chairman of the Skipton branch of the Royal British Legion, who spoke with veterans, families and staff.
