Forums

If you’re interested in joining the Nursing Workforce or Nursing Education forums please complete the Expression of Interest form and email it to SocialCareNursing@skillsforcare.org.uk.

Nursing Workforce Forum 

The national Social Care Nursing Forum will be launched in January and meet bi-monthly to support attracting, retaining and valuing the social care nursing workforce across the sector. By attending the forum you will: 

  • Hear from others working across the system about issues relevant to nursing in the sector. 
  • Receive updates, information and opportunities relevant to the social care nursing workforce. 
  • Have a platform to share good practice, collaborate and network with other social care nursing stakeholders. 
  • Debate issues and raise challenges for discussion with the forum.  

Nursing Education Forum 

The national Social Care Nursing Education Forum focusses on NMC approved education programmes for nurses and nursing associates. This forum is for stakeholders involved in the delivery of nursing education and sessions will focus on social care in practice learning and in the nursing curriculum. By attending the forum you will: 

  • Hear from others working in nursing education who are investing in the value of social care to support their learners. 
  • Receive updates about the sector that will be relevant to nursing programmes. 
  • Have a platform to share good practice, collaborate and network with other social care nursing stakeholders. 
  • Debate issues and raise challenges for discussion with the forum. 

This forum is being delivered in collaboration with Wolverhampton University.
