Residents of Sheffield Foyer, run by Guinness Care, celebrated the Queen鈥檚 Jubilee by inviting residents from Applegarth Close sheltered accommodation to their Jubilee party.
Sheffield Foyer is a specialised supported housing scheme run by Guinness Care, which provides accommodation, training, and support to young formerly homeless people, aged 17-25, to enable them to live independently and safely, and help them eventually move on to their own tenancies and into employment.
Applegarth Close Housing is sheltered accommodation which houses residents over the age of 55.
The two groups joined up for a special event to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. Around 50 people attended the afternoon of celebrations which included music, a petting zoo, bingo, a raffle, party games, a quiz and food.
This was part of regular joint activities which the two groups host.
